The NBA announced on October 27 that San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama has been selected Western Conference Player of the Week, while Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo claimed the honor in the Eastern Conference.

The recognition is the 28th of his career, and, according to the Bucks, he is the first player in league history to post at least 100 points, 40 rebounds and 15 assists over the first three games of a season.
The NBA listed Stephen Curry, Luka Dončić, Austin Reaves and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander as additional nominees in the West. In the East, LaMelo Ball, Jalen Brunson, VJ Edgecombe, Tyrese Maxey, Donovan Mitchell and Norman Powell received consideration.
