The Golden State Warriors are soliciting sign-and-trade proposals for forward Jonathan Kuminga but have ruled out attaching Buddy Hield or Moses Moody to any deal, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Fischer reported on August 10 that, because of collective bargaining agreement rules on base-year compensation, Golden State would likely need to add another player to match salaries if it receives a larger contract in return for Kuminga. Despite that hurdle, team officials consider Hield and Moody integral to next season’s rotation and will not include either in negotiations, sources told Fischer.

Both guards were among the club’s most reliable perimeter shooters last year. Moody posted 9.8 points, 0.8 steals and a 37.4 percent mark from three-point range. Hield averaged 11.1 points while hitting 37 percent from deep and was the only Warrior to appear in all 82 regular-season games. For his career, Hield is a 39.7 percent three-point shooter; last season’s clip was the second-lowest of his nine NBA campaigns.

Among players returning to Chase Center, only Stephen Curry, Quinten Post and Brandin Podziemski shot better from beyond the arc than Hield and Moody. Golden State’s stance on keeping both guards has become one of the primary obstacles in ongoing trade discussions, Fischer noted.
