The Golden State Warriors re-signed point guard Pat Spencer to a two-way contract on Monday, the team confirmed shortly after 3:15 p.m. PT. The move was first reported by ESPN’s Anthony Slater.
Spencer, 29, split the past two seasons between a two-way slot and the Warriors’ standard roster. Elevated to the 15-man group in March, he appeared in 39 games during the 2024-25 campaign and averaged 2.5 points, 1.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists across 6.4 minutes, shooting .406 from the field, .227 from three and .733 at the foul line.
With second-round pick Alex Toohey signing earlier in the day, Golden State has now filled all three two-way positions with Spencer, Toohey and Jackson Rowe. The club still holds a two-way qualifying offer for Australian guard Taran Armstrong, who is reportedly in talks with Serbian side KK Partizan. Should Armstrong join an overseas team, the Warriors could continue extending qualifying offers to preserve his restricted free-agent rights, as they have done with Nico Mannion.
Six Camp Deals Finalized
The Warriors also announced six non-guaranteed contracts on Monday:
- Forwards JaVier Francis and Jacksen Moni
- Guard Chance McMillian
- Center Marques Bolden
- Guards LJ Cryer and Taevion Kinsey
Francis, McMillian, Cryer and Kinsey had been previously linked to Golden State. Moni, an undrafted rookie from North Dakota State, played for San Antonio’s Summer League squad in July, while Bolden is a three-year NBA veteran with stints in Cleveland, Charlotte and Milwaukee. Santa Cruz, the Warriors’ G League affiliate, acquired Bolden’s returning rights in August.
All six signees are expected to land with Santa Cruz as affiliate or returning-rights players. Each contract is believed to include Exhibit 10 language, making the players eligible for bonuses up to $85,300 if they remain with the G League club for at least 60 days.
The order of signings is notable. After officially adding Gary Payton II and Will Richard earlier Monday, Golden State’s standard roster sat at 11 players. Bringing in Francis, Moni and McMillian pushed that total to 14, the threshold required before Exhibit 9 clauses—providing injury protection during camp—can be used. As a result, Bolden, Cryer and Kinsey likely received Exhibit 9 deals, whereas the first three did not.
Golden State now lists 20 players under contract. Veterans Al Horford, DeAnthony Melton and Jonathan Kuminga have yet to sign, so roster cuts are expected within the next couple of days.
