The Golden State Warriors have not discussed extending Jonathan Kuminga’s Oct. 1 qualifying-offer deadline, according to league sources cited by Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Team officials recently proposed a three-year, $75 million contract that contains a team option for the 2027-28 season. Kuminga’s representatives have pushed for a player option instead, but negotiations have stalled.

Separately, the Sacramento Kings tried to revive sign-and-trade talks for the 21-year-old forward, offering guard Malik Monk. Golden State declined, concerned in part about Monk’s $21.5 million player option for 2027-28.

Golden State’s posture is tied to long-range salary-cap planning. The club aims to maintain flexibility when the deals of Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green all expire in 2027.
