Warriors’ Moses Moody suffers torn patellar tendon

Golden State Warriors guard Moses Moody has been diagnosed with a torn patellar tendon in his left knee, ruling him out for the remainder of the 2026 NBA season.

The injury occurred Monday during the Warriors’ matchup with the Dallas Mavericks. Moody, 22, will undergo surgery and faces an extended rehabilitation timetable.

Before the setback, the former No. 14 overall pick was averaging 12.1 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists while shooting 44.0 percent from the field and 40.1 percent from three-point range. Over his career, the Arkansas product owns averages of 8.0 points and 2.4 rebounds and was part of Golden State’s 2022 championship roster.

The Warriors, coached by Steve Kerr, are 10th in the Western Conference and currently positioned for the play-in tournament.
