Kristaps Porzingis expressed confidence that his health issues are finally in the past and that he can help the Golden State Warriors close the season on a high note. “I believe I’ll be healthy now,” the 7-foot-3 big man said, according to Hoops Wire.
Porzingis has battled a series of lower-body ailments over the past several seasons, limiting his availability. Despite those setbacks, he reiterated his commitment to staying on the court for the remainder of the regular season and any potential postseason run.
The Latvian native has posted strong numbers when healthy, giving the Warriors additional rim protection and three-point shooting in the frontcourt. Team officials have not provided a specific minutes restriction going forward, but Porzingis indicated he feels prepared to handle a regular workload.
The Warriors, currently fighting for playoff positioning in the Western Conference, view Porzingis’ health as a key factor in their push. The club’s medical staff will continue monitoring his status, but both player and team believe he is ready to contribute without further interruption.
