Warriors’ Al Horford Supports Luke Kornet’s Objection to Hawks’ “Magic City Night”

Golden State Warriors center Al Horford publicly endorsed Luke Kornet after the San Antonio Spurs forward urged the Atlanta Hawks to cancel their planned “Magic City Night” promotion.
On March 3, 2026, Horford quote-tweeted Kornet’s original post with a brief message: “Well said Luke.” He did not add further comment.
Kornet’s earlier statement asked the Hawks and the NBA to abandon the event, saying the league should “protect and esteem women” rather than risk what he described as possible objectification. The Hawks have not issued a public response.
Horford’s support carries added resonance because he spent nine seasons in Atlanta and served as a cornerstone of the franchise’s most successful modern run. Horford and Kornet were teammates with the Boston Celtics before moving on to their current clubs.
The NBA has not commented on the matter.
