Veteran guard Victor Oladipo will report to the Wisconsin Herd, the Milwaukee Bucks’ NBA G League affiliate, after being acquired through the league’s player pool process, multiple reports said on Nov. 9, 2025.

ESPN’s Jamal Collier first noted that Oladipo had entered the G League pool following a brief stint with the Guangzhou Loong Lions of China, where he played three preseason contests this fall. NBA insider Jake Fischer added that the Santa Cruz Warriors claimed the 33-year-old off waivers and immediately sent his returning-player rights to the Herd.

The Herd confirmed the move in a team release. No timetable for Oladipo’s debut in Oshkosh was announced.

Against NBA competition during Guangzhou’s U.S. exhibition schedule, the two-time All-Star averaged 19.3 points, 3.0 assists, 2.0 rebounds and 2.7 steals in 27.9 minutes, shooting 46.7 percent from the field, 25.0 percent from three and 92.3 percent at the foul line.

Oladipo worked out for several NBA clubs in Las Vegas over the summer. European scouts were also present, but the former No. 2 overall draft pick said last month he still views the NBA as his primary destination, telling HoopsHype, “That’s where I belong — the three letters: N-B-A.”

The guard enjoyed his best season in 2017-18 with the Indiana Pacers, posting 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists and 2.4 steals per game on his way to Most Improved Player, All-NBA Third Team and All-Defensive First Team honors. A ruptured quad tendon in January 2019 sidelined him for roughly a year and required a second surgery in 2021, limiting him to 102 NBA appearances since that initial injury. His most recent NBA action came with the Miami Heat in 2022-23, ending when he sustained a torn left patellar tendon in April 2023.
