North Carolina forward/center Caleb Wilson announced on Instagram that he will enter the 2026 NBA Draft, ending his college career after one season in Chapel Hill.
The 6-10 Atlanta native is widely projected as a top-five pick in June’s draft. As a freshman, Wilson played 24 games for the Tar Heels, logging 31.3 minutes per contest and averaging 19.8 points, 9.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.5 steals and 1.4 blocks. He shot 57.8% from the field and 71.3% at the free-throw line, earning a spot on the Associated Press All-America Second Team.
Wilson’s year was cut short by injuries. He fractured his left hand in February, then suffered a broken right thumb that required surgery, sidelining him for North Carolina’s final 10 games. The Tar Heels went 19-5 with him in the lineup and 5-5 without him, closing the season on a three-game skid that included a first-round exit from the NCAA tournament.
Several mock drafts place Wilson at No. 4 overall in what is considered a deep 2026 class. He is expected to be cleared for basketball activities during the pre-draft process.
