The Portland Trail Blazers have completed a two-way agreement with forward Jayson Kent, the club announced Tuesday at 3:35 p.m. PT.

Kent, 24, joins Portland after spending this season with the Rip City Remix, the franchise’s G League affiliate. His agent, Rob Anshila, told HoopsHype at 2:30 p.m. PT that the sides had reached a deal, marking Kent’s first NBA contract.

The 6-foot-8 forward went undrafted last June following a graduate season at Texas, where he averaged 5.6 points and 3.3 rebounds over 17.2 minutes in 2024-25, mostly in a reserve role. He previously played four years at Indiana State before transferring to the Longhorns.

In the G League, Kent has emerged as a steady three-and-D option, posting 11.9 points and 4.1 rebounds while shooting 48.3% from the field, 39.3% from beyond the arc and 92.1% at the foul line across 38 games (26.4 minutes per contest).

Portland recently reshuffled its two-way slots. Sidy Cissoko was elevated to the 15-man roster last month, and Javonte Cooke was waived, creating two vacancies alongside guard Caleb Love. Chris Youngblood filled one opening, and Kent now occupies the other. Love is approaching the 50-game maximum for two-way players; the Trail Blazers have not indicated whether he will be promoted.

If his contract was finalized Tuesday, league rules allow Kent to be active for up to 12 NBA games before the regular season ends.
