The Minnesota Timberwolves have reached an agreement with guard Bones Hyland, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

The deal keeps the former first-round pick in Minneapolis after he finished the 2023-24 campaign on a two-way contract with the club. Contract terms were not disclosed.

Hyland, 24, owns career averages of 9.5 points, 2.4 assists and 2.1 rebounds across four NBA seasons with the Denver Nuggets, Los Angeles Clippers and Timberwolves.

He appeared in just four games for Minnesota late last season, but there is familiarity on the roster: team president Tim Connelly selected Hyland in the first round of the 2021 draft while running Denver’s front office.

Listed at 6-foot-3, Hyland is regarded as a streaky scorer with long-range shooting ability. His challenge now is carving out a consistent role as the Timberwolves look to build on their run to last season’s Western Conference Finals.
