MINNEAPOLIS — ESPN’s Shams Charania reports that the Minnesota Timberwolves are “among the most aggressive” teams weighing a trade for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. According to Charania, the two-time MVP is open to leaving Milwaukee, and the Bucks are more receptive than ever to incoming offers.
Minnesota’s challenge is asset depth. The club controls no tradable first-round picks, forcing any proposal to center on players. League sources told ESPN that All-Star guard Anthony Edwards is off-limits, leaving forward Jaden McDaniels, center Naz Reid and guard Donte DiVincenzo as likely headliners in any pitch.
Whether that is enough remains uncertain. ESPN’s Brian Windhorst said Milwaukee is expected to emphasize draft capital in any return: “They have to prioritize the draft. Their future is going to be tied to the draft,” Windhorst noted.

SAN FRANCISCO — Stephen Curry told The Athletic’s Nick Friedell he stays informed yet hands-off regarding Golden State’s trade negotiations. “I don’t ever get into hypotheticals. It’s a waste of time,” Curry said, adding that he trusts general manager Mike Dunleavy Jr. to handle discussions and will address possibilities only “if there’s something real.”

CLEVELAND — The raised floor at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse resurfaced as a safety concern Wednesday after Luka Dončić slipped near the sideline and tweaked his lower left leg during the Cavaliers’ win over the Lakers. Los Angeles coach JJ Redick called the configuration “absolutely a safety hazard.”
The issue is not new. Miami previously voiced objections in 2023 when Dru Smith suffered a season-ending ACL injury attributed in part to the gap between the court and surrounding floor. The NBA has received multiple complaints and now faces renewed pressure to review the setup.
