OKLAHOMA CITY — A brief brawl late in the first half resulted in four ejections during the Oklahoma City Thunder’s 132-111 victory over the Washington Wizards on Saturday night.

The confrontation began under the basket after Wizards forward Anthony Gill converted a layup. Thunder forward Jaylin Williams and Washington’s Justin Champagnie exchanged shoves, drawing in Gill and Oklahoma City rookie Ajay Mitchell. The skirmish spilled into the courtside seating area before arena security and officials restored order.

Following an extended video review, referees assessed two technical fouls apiece to Williams and Champagnie, ejecting both players. Mitchell and Thunder guard Cason Wallace were also tossed after receiving one technical foul each, leaving both teams shorthanded before halftime.

“I disagreed with their judgment,” Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault told reporters after conferring with crew chief John Goble. “But we worked through it and moved on.”

Oklahoma City maintained control on the scoreboard despite the disruptions, cruising to the 21-point win.
