Oklahoma City Thunder
Oklahoma City will resume play after the All-Star break without several key contributors. Guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, sidelined since Feb. 3 with an abdominal strain, will be reevaluated in approximately one week, the team said. The timetable is expected to keep the reigning MVP out of at least four more games.
Second-year guard Ajay Mitchell, who is dealing with the same abdominal issue and a left ankle sprain, will also be checked again in a week. He has missed 11 straight contests.
Forward Jalen Williams aggravated a right hamstring strain on Feb. 11 in Phoenix, only one game into his return from a 10-game absence. He is projected to miss at least two additional weeks, or roughly eight games.
Despite a 24-1 start, the defending champions are 18-13 over their past 31 outings but still lead the Western Conference at 42-14.
Denver Nuggets
Denver has finalized a two-way contract with guard KJ Simpson. The 23-year-old was drafted by Charlotte in 2024 and appeared in 50 games—17 starts—before being waived earlier this month. He averaged 7.3 points and 2.9 assists in a little over 21 minutes per game, last playing on Dec. 18.
The Nuggets opened the two-way slot after converting Spencer Jones to a standard deal. Under two-way rules, Simpson can be active for up to 16 regular-season games, depending on the signing date.
Los Angeles Clippers
Los Angeles plans to fill both of its open two-way positions with forward Norchad Omier and guard Sean Pedulla, according to multiple reports. Omier, 24, is averaging 18.5 points and 11.1 rebounds for the G League’s Cleveland Charge and will become the first Nicaragua-born player in NBA history when the agreement is completed.
Pedulla, 23, has posted 19.7 points and 5.3 assists with the Rip City Remix. Once both signings are finalized, the Clippers will have a full 18-man roster.
