OKLAHOMA CITY — The Thunder have filled out their training-camp roster by signing free agents Jazian Gortman, Zack Austin and Chris Youngblood, the club announced Friday, September 26.
The three Summer League participants bring Oklahoma City to the offseason maximum of 21 contracted players. Contract details were not released, but reports from June indicated Austin and Youngblood were headed for Exhibit 10 agreements, and the same structure is expected for Gortman.
Jazian Gortman’s Path
Gortman, a 6-foot-2 point guard who went undrafted out of Overtime Elite in 2023, spent his rookie year in the G League with the Wisconsin Herd and Rip City Remix, affiliates of the Bucks and Trail Blazers. Last summer he joined the Mavericks on an Exhibit 10 deal, earned a promotion to a two-way contract before the 2024-25 season and appeared in 16 NBA games, logging 53 total minutes. While with the Texas Legends, he averaged 20.0 points, 6.5 assists, 3.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals across 34 G League contests, shooting 45.0 percent from the field, 27.2 percent from three and 81.3 percent at the line.
Rookie Forwards Austin and Youngblood
Austin and Youngblood both entered the 2025 draft but were not selected. Their Exhibit 10 contracts give Oklahoma City the option to convert either player to a two-way deal or assign them to the organization’s G League affiliate with bonus incentives.
The Thunder open training camp next week with 21 players vying for a spot on the regular-season roster.
