The Phoenix Suns have re-signed forward Tyrese Samuel to an Exhibit 10 contract, according to the NBA’s official transaction log and confirmed by Spotrac’s Keith Smith.
Samuel, a 6’10” Montreal native, played four seasons at Seton Hall before using a super-senior year at Florida in 2023-24. He appeared in 36 games for the Gators, averaging 13.9 points, 7.4 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.1 steals and 1.1 blocks across 26.8 minutes, earning All-SEC Second Team honors.
The 25-year-old went undrafted in 2024 but accepted an Exhibit 10 deal with Phoenix, then was waived prior to the season. He spent his rookie campaign with the G League’s Valley Suns, posting 7.8 points and 5.1 rebounds in 17.1 minutes during the Tip-Off Tournament. His production climbed in the regular season, where he contributed 10.8 points, 7.3 rebounds and 1.0 block over 21.3 minutes in 33 appearances.
If waived again and he remains with the Valley Suns for at least 60 days, Samuel would be eligible for a bonus of up to $85,300 on top of his standard G League salary.
With Samuel’s signing, Phoenix has filled all 21 offseason roster spots permitted under NBA rules.
