The Phoenix Suns have added two backcourt players to their preseason roster, signing guards David Duke Jr. and Damion Baugh to training-camp contracts, according to Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot.
Duke, 24, is expected to join on an Exhibit 10 agreement. The 6-foot-4 guard is heading into his fifth NBA season after spending two years with Brooklyn and the last two with San Antonio, where he held a two-way contract in 2023-24. Across 111 career appearances, Duke has averaged 4.2 points and 0.9 assists in 11.9 minutes per game.
Baugh, also 24, received a separate camp deal. The undrafted 6-foot-4 guard played 41 games for Charlotte last season, contributing 7.3 points and 3.7 assists in 24.7 minutes primarily off the bench. The Hornets waived him in June.
Phoenix currently has 13 players on guaranteed contracts. Non-guaranteed guards Jordan Goodwin and Jared Butler are vying for a standard roster spot, while Duke and Baugh are considered candidates to land with the organization’s G League affiliate, the Valley Suns, if they do not make the regular-season squad.
