The Phoenix Suns have brought in two backcourt options for preseason, signing David Duke Jr. and Damion Baugh to unreported training-camp contracts that are expected to be Exhibit 10 agreements.
Duke, 24, is heading into his fifth NBA campaign. The 6-foot-5 guard spent his first two seasons with Brooklyn before joining San Antonio, where he held a two-way slot last year. Over 82 career games, he has averaged 4.2 points and 0.9 assists in 11.9 minutes.
Baugh, 24, appeared in 51 contests as a rookie with Charlotte after going undrafted out of TCU in 2023. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard posted 7.3 points and 3.7 assists across 24.7 minutes but was recently waived when the Hornets opened a two-way spot for Antonio Reeves.
Phoenix currently carries 13 fully guaranteed contracts, with guards Jordan Goodwin and Jared Butler on non-guaranteed deals vying for a standard roster place. Duke and Baugh could compete for one of the remaining spots, but they are likelier to land with the club’s G League affiliate, the Valley Suns.
