Weather Forces Postponement of Sunday’s Nuggets-Grizzlies Matchup

The NBA has postponed Sunday’s contest between the Denver Nuggets and Memphis Grizzlies because of severe weather conditions in the Memphis area, the league announced on Twitter.
A new date for the game has not been set. A major winter storm sweeping across much of North America since Saturday night is expected to continue through Monday, prompting the schedule change.
The same storm is affecting travel plans for other teams. The Dallas Mavericks were unable to depart for Milwaukee after Saturday’s home win over the Los Angeles Lakers due to weather in Dallas. Veteran reporter Marc Stein wrote on Twitter that the Mavericks remained on their plane Sunday awaiting clearance for their scheduled 6:00 p.m. CT matchup with the Bucks, raising the possibility that game could also be postponed.
