Suns owner Mat Ishbia announced on X (formerly Twitter) Monday that two-time NBA MVP Steve Nash is rejoining Phoenix as a senior advisor.
The move, revealed on September 22, 2025, adds a front-office role to Nash’s current broadcast plans. In April, journalist Marc Stein reported that Nash had been hired by Amazon Prime Video as an analyst for the streamer’s first season as an NBA media partner.
Nash, 51, is widely regarded as one of the franchise’s all-time greats. Over 10 seasons with the Suns, he captured consecutive MVP awards in 2005 and 2006 and finished second in the 2007 voting. The Canadian point guard earned three straight All-NBA First Team selections, two Second Team nods, six All-Star berths and led the league in assists five times.
Details of Nash’s day-to-day responsibilities as senior advisor were not disclosed.
