Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, sidelined since Jan. 30, says he has no intention of shelving the remainder of his season despite a lingering right knee injury.

The two-time MVP exited a home game against the Detroit Pistons with what the team labeled “runner’s knee” and has now missed more than six weeks. Speaking to The Athletic’s Nick Friedell, Curry made it clear that stepping away is not an option. “That’s not who we are. If we have stuff to play for, we play. So, I’m working to get back,” he said.

Curry, 38, recently resumed individual on-court workouts, but the Warriors announced his absence will stretch at least another 10 days. The organization has not set a firm timetable for his return.

While some fans have suggested the franchise should take a cautious approach and focus on next season, Curry said his daily conversations with team medical staff center strictly on whether he can play safely. “We’d love to see guys in a playoff series and take a swing,” he added.

Head coach Steve Kerr noted that Curry’s rehabilitation is moving forward. “Of course we miss him,” Kerr said. “I’m the luckiest coach in the league to coach him.”
