Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry will not play Tuesday against the Philadelphia 76ers after aggravating a right knee issue during Friday’s loss to the Detroit Pistons, the team confirmed.

The 37-year-old underwent an MRI on Saturday that revealed no significant damage, according to NBC Sports Bay Area. Doctors diagnosed him with patellofemoral pain syndrome, commonly referred to as runner’s knee. The 12-time All-Star is receiving daily treatment and is considered day-to-day, ESPN’s Anthony Slater reported.

“That’s up to Rick [Celebrini] and Steph,” head coach Steve Kerr said Monday, referring to the Warriors’ director of sports medicine and performance. “As soon as Rick tells me he can play, obviously he’ll play, but they’re working together every day.”

The Warriors will also be without forward Jonathan Kuminga, who is set to miss his fifth consecutive game Tuesday because of a bone bruise in his left knee, The Athletic noted.

In addition, the club announced over the weekend that guard Seth Curry—sidelined by sciatic nerve irritation—has resumed on-court workouts. He will be evaluated again in two weeks and is expected to remain out at least until then.
