Stanford freshman guard Ebuka Okorie has declared for the 2026 NBA Draft, agents CJ Ward and Mike Miller told DraftExpress analyst Jonathan Givony.

Givony, who reported the news on Twitter, called the 6’2” scorer a projected first-round pick. He added that Okorie is “two feet in the draft,” noting the Atlantic Coast Conference’s leading scorer would only return to college basketball at Stanford.

Okorie confirmed the decision on Instagram but did not mention retaining his NCAA eligibility, suggesting he intends to remain in the draft pool.

In 31 games for the Cardinal, Okorie averaged 23.2 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.6 steals while shooting 46.5% from the floor, 35.4% from three and 83.2% at the free-throw line. His scoring output ranked eighth nationally and trailed only fellow freshmen AJ Dybantsa and Darius Acuff Jr., according to the Associated Press.

ESPN slots Okorie at No. 38 on its latest big board, putting him in early second-round range, while Bleacher Report’s most recent mock draft projects him at No. 21 overall. Scouts appear divided on his stock, with evaluations spanning a wide range.

Okorie expressed gratitude to Stanford’s coaching staff on social media, recalling how they gave a scholarship opportunity to “a kid from New Hampshire with no high-major offers” and helped him excel on and off the court.
