Luke Kornet Urges Hawks to Scrap Planned ‘Magic City Night’

San Antonio Spurs center Luke Kornet has asked the Atlanta Hawks to cancel their scheduled “Magic City Night,” a promotion tied to the Atlanta strip club Magic City.
In a statement shared on March 2, 2026, Kornet said the event “sends the wrong message,” arguing that the league should strive to “protect and esteem women, many of whom work diligently every day to make this the best basketball league in the world.” He added that moving forward with the promotion “would reflect poorly on us as an NBA community.”
The Hawks have not issued a public response to Kornet’s request.
