The Philadelphia 76ers have brought back forward Marcus Bagley on a training-camp contract, according to a social-media post from Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot.
Bagley, 23, is the younger brother of former No. 2 overall draft pick Marvin Bagley III. After going undrafted out of Arizona State in 2023, he joined the organization’s G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, and has appeared in 54 games over the past two seasons. The 6-foot-8 wing earned a pair of 10-day NBA contracts late in the 2024-25 campaign.
In 34 G League outings last season, Bagley averaged 9.3 points and 7.1 rebounds in 26.2 minutes while shooting 42.3 percent from the field, 30.3 percent from three and 72.5 percent at the foul line. During 10 appearances with Philadelphia in March and April, he posted 6.7 points and 7.0 rebounds across 25.3 minutes per game but connected on just 39.1 percent of his shots overall and 15.6 percent from long distance.
Contract details were not disclosed, but the deal is widely expected to be an Exhibit 10 agreement. That structure would allow Bagley to earn a bonus of up to $85,300 if he is waived and then spends at least 60 days this season with the Blue Coats.
Bagley’s signing restores Philadelphia’s roster to the offseason maximum of 21 players. The club continues to cycle players on non-guaranteed deals and will need to clear a spot once restricted free agent Quentin Grimes finalizes his status.
