Amazon Prime Video, the NBA’s newest broadcast partner, announced on September 25, 2025, that Philadelphia 76ers guard Kyle Lowry has signed a multiyear contract to work as an analyst.

A press release cited by Tim Reynolds of The Associated Press states that the 39-year-old will make select on-air appearances during the upcoming season, with his role expanding in subsequent years.

“I’m excited to start the next chapter of my basketball journey with the Prime Sports team,” Lowry said in the release. “The talent they’ve assembled is incredible, and together we’ll deliver something fresh and special for basketball fans worldwide. It’s an honor to be part of this from Day One, and I’m committed to sharing the insights I’ve gained from my career through NBA on Prime for years to come.”

A Philadelphia native, Lowry played two seasons at Villanova before being selected 24th overall in the 2006 draft. When the 2025-26 season tips off, he will become only the second point guard in league history—after Chris Paul last year—and the 12th player overall to reach a 20th NBA season.

The six-time All-Star and 2019 NBA champion with Toronto is entering his second full year with his hometown 76ers. Limited by injuries in 2024-25, he averaged career lows of 3.9 points, 2.7 assists and 1.9 rebounds over 35 games (18.8 minutes per contest).
