PHILADELPHIA — The 76ers have ruled first-year big man Johni Broome out indefinitely after he sustained a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee during Saturday’s G League matchup with the Delaware Blue Coats, the team announced in a press release.
The club said the 23-year-old forward/center will meet with medical specialists to determine the next steps in his recovery. No timetable for his return was provided.
Broome joined Philadelphia as the 35th overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft following collegiate stints at Morehead State (two seasons) and Auburn (three seasons). He has appeared in 11 NBA games this year, logging 55 minutes exclusively in late-game situations.
