The Philadelphia 76ers have signed swingman MarJon Beauchamp and waived guard/forward Emoni Bates, the club announced in a press release.
Philadelphia’s interest in Beauchamp surfaced over the weekend, when reports indicated the Trail Blazers were still involved. The 25-year-old had inked an Exhibit 10 contract with Portland on September 30 and was waived on October 7, a move that initially positioned him to join the Blazers’ G League affiliate, the Rip City Remix. By finalizing a deal with the 76ers, Beauchamp is now expected to report to the Delaware Blue Coats, Philadelphia’s G League team, suggesting Portland has agreed to relinquish his affiliate rights. Under league rules, the organization that keeps a player for the majority of training camp normally retains first rights to assign him to its G League squad.
Selected 24th overall by Milwaukee in the 2022 draft, the 6-7 forward spent two-and-a-half seasons with the Bucks before a trade to the Clippers at February’s deadline. He finished the 2024/25 campaign on a two-way contract with the Knicks after Los Angeles waived him. Across 135 regular-season appearances for Milwaukee, Los Angeles and New York, Beauchamp has averaged 4.1 points and 1.9 rebounds in 10.9 minutes per game while shooting 43.0 percent from the field, 35.4 percent from three and 71.8 percent at the line.
If the 76ers waive him before opening night and he spends at least 60 days with the Blue Coats, Beauchamp would be eligible for an Exhibit 10 bonus worth up to $85,300.
Bates, 20, also arrived on an Exhibit 10 deal last month. Drafted 49th overall by Cleveland in 2023 out of Eastern Michigan, the 6-9 scorer saw limited action in two seasons on a two-way contract with the Cavaliers. He appeared in 26 NBA games, averaging 3.0 points and 0.8 rebounds.
