76ers Add Dalen Terry on Two-Way Contract

The Philadelphia 76ers have signed free-agent wing Dalen Terry to a two-way contract, the team announced Tuesday afternoon.

The move fills the club’s final two-way slot, which opened when Dominick Barlow was promoted to a standard roster spot. Terry joins Jabari Walker and MarJon Beauchamp as Philadelphia’s two-way players.

Recent Trade Flurry

Terry, 23, reached unrestricted free agency after a hectic trade-deadline week. The Chicago Bulls sent the 2022 No. 18 pick to the New York Knicks for Guerschon Yabusele and cash. New York then packaged Terry with two second-round picks and additional cash to acquire Jose Alvarado from the New Orleans Pelicans, who waived Terry on Friday.

Contract Details

Because an NBA season of service is not credited until June 30, Terry remains eligible for a two-way deal despite being in his fourth year. The agreement runs through the end of the 2025-26 regular season, after which he will hit the market again.

Playing History

Over three-and-a-half seasons with Chicago, the 6-foot-7 guard/forward averaged 3.5 points, 1.7 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 11.1 minutes across 204 games.

Availability Limits

Under two-way rules, Terry may be active for up to 18 of Philadelphia’s remaining regular-season games. With the club past the 70-game mark, the 76ers must keep a full 15-man roster to field both Terry and Beauchamp, while Walker has already reached his individual 50-game limit.
