The Milwaukee Bucks have begun sounding out the market for immediate roster help despite a 11-17 start, according to a league-wide roundup by Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints published on December 19, 2025.
Bucks weighing Turner options, gauging Kuzma value
Sources told Siegel that executives around the league are monitoring whether Milwaukee might pivot and make center Myles Turner available just months after signing him to a four-year, $108.8 million contract. Turner’s $25.3 million salary and combination of three-point range and rim protection would command widespread interest, but Milwaukee’s limited trade assets could complicate a deal.
Forward Kyle Kuzma, earning $22.4 million this season with $20.4 million owed in 2026-27, is viewed by league insiders as the more likely trade piece. The Bucks believe the scarcity of wings on the market could help them find a taker for the 30-year-old, who is rebounding from a disappointing 2024-25 campaign.
Pacers willing to discuss Mathurin
Indiana has made former lottery pick Bennedict Mathurin available in advance of his 2026 restricted free agency, per Siegel. The Pacers are reportedly reluctant to commit to a lucrative long-term deal for the fourth-year wing and have also floated forwards Jarace Walker and Obi Toppin while searching for front-court upgrades.
Nets’ Porter expected to draw calls; Thomas market quiet
In Brooklyn, forward Michael Porter Jr.—now the club’s primary scoring option—has begun generating interest from contenders. Guard Cam Thomas, who can veto trades and is still rehabbing a left hamstring strain, has attracted less attention. Even so, Siegel believes the Nets could secure one or two second-round picks for the high-scoring guard ahead of his unrestricted free agency next summer.
Cavaliers pressing on despite injuries
The injury-hit Cleveland Cavaliers (15-13) have not entertained offers for Darius Garland or Jarrett Allen, sources said. While early-season struggles have heightened internal urgency, Cleveland expects to rely on improved health and in-house development rather than major trades.
Alvarado drawing interest from Hawks, others
Jose Alvarado appears to be the New Orleans Pelican most likely to move before the February 5 deadline. The Atlanta Hawks have expressed interest, and both Indiana and the New York Knicks have checked on the fifth-year guard, according to Siegel.
