The Toronto Raptors signed free-agent guard Jarkel Joiner to an Exhibit 10 contract and immediately waived him, according to the NBA’s official transaction log.

Joiner, 26, spent his first two professional seasons with the College Park Skyhawks, the Atlanta Hawks’ G League affiliate. Undrafted out of NC State in 2023, the 6-foot-1 guard appeared in 48 games for College Park during the 2024-25 season, averaging 11.2 points, 3.4 assists and 3.1 rebounds in 21.5 minutes. He shot 41.2 percent from the field, 33.2 percent from three and 72.0 percent at the free-throw line.

Last month, Raptors 905 acquired Joiner’s returning rights from the Skyhawks in a G League trade, positioning him to report to Toronto’s affiliate once he signs a standard NBAGL contract this fall.

The Exhibit 10 arrangement allows Joiner to earn a bonus of up to $85,300 if he stays with Raptors 905 for at least 60 days. Toronto used the same sign-and-waive maneuver earlier in the week with Quincy Guerrier and Tyreke Key, who are also expected to join the 905 roster.
