The Toronto Raptors have reached an agreement to obtain backup center Trayce Jackson-Davis from the Golden State Warriors, Shams Charania of ESPN reported.
Golden State will receive a 2026 second-round selection that originally belonged to the Los Angeles Lakers, giving the Warriors additional draft capital and roster flexibility.
Jackson-Davis, 25, averaged 4.2 points and 3.1 rebounds in 11.4 minutes across 36 appearances this season after logging regular rotation minutes during his first two NBA campaigns. He is earning $2.2 million this year, and his contract includes a $2.4 million team option for 2026-27.
Toronto adds depth to its frontcourt while staying below the luxury-tax threshold, using a roster spot made available by an earlier deal that shipped Ochai Agbaji out of town. The Raptors had also explored moves for Yves Missi, Day’Ron Sharpe and Goga Bitadze, but each of those options would have required surrendering a first-round pick, according to TSN Sports’ Josh Lewenberg.
For the Warriors, the transaction opens a roster slot. Combined with a separate agreement that will send Jonathan Kuminga and Buddy Hield to Atlanta, the move positions Golden State to convert two-way guard Pat Spencer to a standard NBA contract, Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reported.
