The Detroit Pistons have re-signed forward Isaac Jones to a two-way contract, the team announced on Friday via Twitter. The agreement spans two seasons, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.

Jones, 25, entered the NBA as an undrafted free agent out of Washington State. He opened the 2024-25 campaign with the Sacramento Kings on a two-way deal and earned a promotion to the standard roster last March. Sacramento waived him in November to clear space for Precious Achiuwa, and Detroit claimed him off waivers the same month.

The 6-foot-9 forward remained with the Pistons for nearly three months before being released to facilitate a three-team trade involving Chicago and Minnesota. His lone NBA appearance for Detroit consisted of two minutes in garbage time.

Most of this season, Jones has played for Detroit’s G League affiliate, the Motor City Cruise. In 26 games, he has averaged 15.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.3 blocks across 28.1 minutes while shooting 55.7% from the field.

Detroit recently created an opening on its two-way chart after waiving Dario Šarić and converting Daniss Jenkins to a standard contract. Jones now joins Tolu Smith and Wendell Moore Jr. as the club’s current two-way players.
