DETROIT — The Pistons on Saturday released injury updates on three core players, ruling center Jalen Duren out for at least one week and forward Tobias Harris for a minimum of two.

Harris, 33, was diagnosed with a left hip sprain and will be re-evaluated on Jan. 17. The forward is expected to miss at least five games, beginning with Sunday’s meeting in Cleveland and Monday’s home contest against New York. Harris, who is averaging 13.4 points, 4.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists, is in the final season of a $26.6 million contract.

Duren sustained a right ankle sprain and will be reassessed in seven days. The 20-year-old is in the midst of a breakout campaign, posting 17.9 points and 10.6 rebounds across 31 appearances. With Duren sidelined, Isaiah Stewart is expected to log heavier minutes, while Paul Reed provides depth.

Guard/forward Caris LeVert remains day-to-day with right knee inflammation and will stay in Detroit for continued treatment, ruling him out of Sunday’s visit to Cleveland.

Magic

Third-year guard Anthony Black continues to impress since moving into Orlando’s starting lineup last month. Over that span, the 21-year-old is averaging 20.6 points on efficient shooting, attributed in part to sharper changes of pace and improved space creation. Black, who turns 22 later this month, becomes eligible for a rookie-scale extension in the offseason.

Kings

Sacramento rookie center Maxime Raynaud will undergo an MRI on his left knee after leaving Friday’s game with a leg injury suffered while setting a screen for Russell Westbrook. The second-round pick, who needed assistance to reach the locker room, said he believes the injury is not serious. Raynaud has played in 25 games, including 11 starts, and is averaging 10.5 points and 6.3 rebounds.
