The Detroit Pistons have released guard Quincy Olivari, according to the NBA’s official transaction log. The club had signed the 24-year-old to an Exhibit 10 contract earlier this week.

Olivari went undrafted last summer after finishing his collegiate career at Xavier. He opened the 2024/25 campaign with the Los Angeles Lakers, appearing in two NBA games before spending most of the season with their G League affiliate, the South Bay Lakers.

In 31 regular-season contests for South Bay, the 6-foot-3 guard averaged 17.5 points, 4.9 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 1.2 steals while shooting 40.1 percent from the field, 34.2 percent from three-point range and 78.1 percent at the foul line.

This summer, Olivari suited up for the Brooklyn Nets’ entry in the NBA Summer League.

His departure leaves Charles Bediako, Dawson Garcia and Brice Williams as the only players on Exhibit 10 deals with Detroit heading into training camp.

The Pistons are expected to steer Olivari toward an affiliate contract with the Motor City Cruise, their G League club. If he remains with the Cruise for at least 60 days, the Exhibit 10 terms would allow him to collect a bonus of up to $85,300.
