Los Angeles — The Lakers have made forward Rui Hachimura and his expiring $18.3 million contract available while canvassing the league for wing help, multiple outlets reported. Guard Gabe Vincent ($11.5 million) and forward Maxi Kleber ($11 million) have also been floated in trade talks.
Potential targets named for Los Angeles include De’Andre Hunter, Naji Marshall, Saddiq Bey, Donte DiVincenzo, Keon Ellis, Herbert Jones, Andrew Wiggins and Jonathan Kuminga. Sources cited by the Los Angeles Times said Hachimura’s recent strong play has boosted his market value but could also persuade the club to keep him. Second-year wing Dalton Knecht is another trade chip under consideration.
Clippers
The surging Clippers are not entertaining offers for Kawhi Leonard, James Harden or Ivica Zubac, but forward John Collins is reportedly attainable. Team goals before the deadline include acquiring a pick-and-roll point guard and opening roster spots to convert two-way players Kobe Sanders and Jordan Miller to standard deals.
Kings
Sacramento has discussed packaging DeMar DeRozan and Keon Ellis in potential deals, according to HoopsHype. At least one club was told the Kings would seek a first-round pick for center Domantas Sabonis. During conversations with Toronto, names such as RJ Barrett and Ochai Agbaji surfaced, though Sacramento is reluctant to absorb the long-term salaries of Jakob Poeltl or Immanuel Quickley.
Suns
Phoenix is searching for a power forward who can supply more scoring than current starter Royce O’Neale. The front office prefers an addition that makes sense beyond this season, weighing both cost and long-term fit.
