San Francisco, CA — Draymond Green believes Stephen Curry should only rejoin the Golden State Warriors once he is completely confident in his right knee, he told the San Francisco Chronicle. The 38-year-old guard is scheduled to be reevaluated in one week to determine whether a comeback is feasible.

“If he’s healthy and can play, we’re here to support him,” Green said, noting that every postseason now carries extra weight for the veteran star.

Curry’s absence, along with season-ending injuries to Jimmy Butler and Moses Moody, has pushed Golden State to 10th place in the Western Conference at 36-38. While the Warriors could need two play-in victories to reach the first round, Green has assumed on-court leadership duties in Curry’s stead. “You just can’t be the guy that quits when it gets tough,” he added.

Additional Pacific Division updates

Kristaps Porzingis scored 28 points and hit 5-of-11 from deep in Friday’s win over Washington, giving Golden State its first three-game winning streak in more than two months. Porzingis continues to play through pain in his shooting wrist but said, “Once I get it right, you’re going to see a difference for sure.”

Oso Ighodaro has appeared in every contest for Phoenix this season. The Suns big man credited offseason strength work for keeping him on the floor and hopes to become the franchise’s first player since Mikal Bridges to log all 82 games.

Dillon Brooks (fractured left hand, out since February 21) and Mark Williams (third metatarsal stress reaction, out since March 3) participated in five-on-five drills Saturday for the first time since their respective injuries. “Good start. Everything is headed in the right direction,” Suns coach Jordan Ott said.

Isaiah Jackson, the Clippers’ reserve center, is listed as questionable for Sunday’s game in Milwaukee because of a sprained right ankle.
