Pacers bring in Ethan Thompson on two-way deal, cut RayJ Dennis

The Indiana Pacers have shuffled the bottom of the roster, signing guard Ethan Thompson to a two-way contract and waiving guard RayJ Dennis, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Thompson, 24, spent training camp with the Miami Heat on an Exhibit 10 contract before being released. He has since starred for Miami’s G League affiliate, averaging 26.9 points, 6.5 assists and 5.8 rebounds through eight games while shooting 36.8 percent from three-point range on 8.5 attempts per contest.
Dennis, 22, appeared in 13 NBA games for Indiana, posting 4.9 points in 12.9 minutes a night. In two G League outings, he delivered 20.5 points and 8.5 assists but connected on just 25 percent of his three-pointers. He shot 31.6 percent from deep in his NBA minutes.
The move gives Indiana a fresh look at a high-volume scorer whose outside touch has been consistent in the G League, hoping that production can translate at the next level.
