INDIANAPOLIS — Pacers guard Tyrese Haliburton, still recovering from the torn Achilles that ended his 2025/26 season before it began, posted a 30-second video Monday showing him running, jumping and shooting during an individual workout. Although his return to the court remains a season away, the two-time All-Star will stay visible to fans: Amazon Prime Video announced Tuesday that Haliburton will serve as a player contributor on the streamer’s NBA coverage.

Haliburton’s first on-air appearance is scheduled for Tuesday night. He will offer analysis on the studio program “NBA Nightcap” and provide behind-the-scenes looks at his rehabilitation throughout the year, Amazon said.

New Leaders on the Floor

With Haliburton sidelined, head coach Rick Carlisle has turned to Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin to share top-option duties alongside forward Pascal Siakam. The trio combined for 76 points in Monday’s win over Sacramento, helping Indiana capture its fourth victory in six games.

“Those three guys are our leaders,” Carlisle said after the game, adding that Aaron Nesmith and T.J. McConnell round out the team’s veteran core.

Walker Responds After Limited Minutes

Rookie forward Jarace Walker, limited to nine minutes Friday in Chicago, bounced back against the Kings with 12 points and three rebounds in 18 minutes. Carlisle praised Walker’s effort, citing a key transition steal and “amazing hands” as examples of the 20-year-old’s impact.

Thompson Earns First Start

One week after making his NBA debut, two-way wing Ethan Thompson drew his first career start Monday in a position recently shared by Ben Sheppard, Walker and Garrison Mathews. Thompson finished with six points, five rebounds, two steals and no turnovers in 28 minutes. “He plays a very solid, even-keeled game and he’s helping us,” Carlisle said.

Front-Court Help on the Radar

Separately, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported Tuesday that Indiana has held trade discussions aimed at finding a long-term solution at center.

The Pacers visit Milwaukee on Wednesday before returning to Gainbridge Fieldhouse for a three-game homestand.
