Serbian club Crvena Zvezda announced Tuesday that it has signed former Atlanta Hawks wing Nikola Djurisic to a contract running through the 2027/28 season.
The 22-year-old will not join Crvena Zvezda immediately. According to the team, Djurisic has been loaned to KK Mega Basket, the Belgrade outfit he represented from 2020 to 2024.
Recent NBA Tenure
Djurisic was selected 43rd overall in the 2024 NBA Draft and spent the 2024/25 campaign with the College Park Skyhawks as a domestic draft-and-stash prospect. He signed a three-year deal with Atlanta during the 2025 offseason, but only the first season was fully guaranteed. The Hawks waived him last month while opening a roster spot to convert two-way player Caleb Houstan to a standard contract.
Although he appeared in 21 G League games this season, averaging 9.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 20.8 minutes, Djurisic never logged a regular-season appearance for Atlanta. His shooting splits with College Park stood at .427 from the field, .190 from three-point range and .800 at the foul line.
Meridian Sport first reported that Djurisic intended to return to Serbia and sign with Crvena Zvezda.
