Speculation over Giannis Antetokounmpo’s future broadened this week after NBA insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson identified the Brooklyn Nets and Minnesota Timberwolves as franchises with enough assets to pursue the Milwaukee Bucks superstar.
Speaking on NBA Radio on SiriusXM, Robinson noted that a return to Milwaukee remains possible, although it “seems unlikely at the moment.” He added that any Miami Heat bid would likely require parting with Bam Adebayo, a cost that could undercut the purpose of acquiring Antetokounmpo.
“You look at teams that have more assets, like the Nets,” Robinson said, citing both trade-eligible players and draft picks. He also mentioned the Timberwolves as a viable destination, while questioning whether offers purportedly centered on Karl-Anthony Towns from the New York Knicks or a package from the Heat would meet Milwaukee’s asking price.
The discussion gained wider attention when host David Shepard shared a clip of Robinson’s comments on X (formerly Twitter) on Apr. 10, 2026, reinforcing that multiple teams are preparing scenarios should the Bucks decide to entertain offers after the season.
For now, Antetokounmpo remains under contract in Milwaukee, but league executives anticipate that trade chatter will intensify once the 2025-26 campaign concludes.
