The Brooklyn Nets on Wednesday formally completed two roster moves, signing forward E.J. Liddell to a two-way contract and sealing a previously reported two-year, $12 million agreement with center Day’Ron Sharpe.

Liddell, 24, was selected 41st overall in the 2022 NBA Draft but missed his entire rookie year after tearing an ACL during Summer League action. Over the past two seasons, he appeared in 20 combined games with the New Orleans Pelicans and Chicago Bulls, logging 76 total minutes, 25 points and 14 rebounds.

The former Ohio State standout was more productive in the NBA G League last season, averaging 15.7 points, 6.6 rebounds and 2.5 assists across 27 outings for the Windy City Bulls. He shot 47.2 percent from the field, 36.1 percent from three-point range and 66.1 percent at the free-throw line.

Despite three NBA seasons on his résumé, Liddell retains two years of two-way eligibility because he missed an entire campaign due to injury. He joins guard Tyson Etienne as Brooklyn’s second two-way player, leaving one two-way slot still open.

Sharpe’s two-year pact had been agreed to on June 30, prior to the official start of free agency. The Nets delayed finalizing contracts for both Sharpe and forward Ziaire Williams—who has a similar two-year, $12 million arrangement—to preserve salary-cap flexibility. Because Brooklyn renounced the duo’s previous rights, at least one of the deals needed cap space rather than the $8.8 million room exception. Signing Sharpe now still leaves the club with more than $10 million in cap room.
