The Brooklyn Nets are adding former NBA guard Acie Law IV to their basketball operations staff as director of player personnel, according to a report from Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Law, 40, was selected 11th overall in the 2007 NBA Draft after a standout collegiate career at Texas A&M (2003-07). He played 188 NBA games between 2007 and 2011 with the Hawks, Warriors, Hornets (then known as the Bobcats), Bulls, and Grizzlies, averaging 3.9 points and 1.6 assists in 12.7 minutes per contest.
Following his NBA stint, the Dallas native spent several seasons overseas and captured two EuroLeague championships before shifting to scouting. He joined the Sacramento Kings in 2018, working four seasons in their scouting department, and later moved to the Oklahoma City Thunder. Over the past three years in Oklahoma City, Law served as director of amateur scouting and was part of the franchise’s 2025 championship run.
Brooklyn has not yet announced when Law will begin his new role.
