The NBA has revised the final score of Friday night’s game between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Washington Wizards after discovering that a made free throw by rookie guard Tre Johnson was never recorded.

The league said Saturday that Johnson’s first attempt at the line with 8:15 remaining in the second quarter had been “incorrectly entered as a missed free throw,” even though the shot went through. Game statistics were updated to reflect the basket, changing the Cavaliers’ victory from 148-114 to 148-115.

Johnson’s official line now shows 19 points on 2-of-3 shooting from the stripe. Cleveland still cruised to an easy win at Capital One Arena, improving to 6-3 (now 7-3) on the season, while Washington fell to 1-8 (now 1-9).

CJ McCollum paced the Wizards with 25 points, and Donovan Mitchell scored 24 for the Cavaliers. NBA league operations executive Tim Frank told The Athletic the scoring error resulted from “human error by the in-arena stat crew” and was caught during the league’s routine postgame audit.

Although the additional point did not affect the outcome of the 34-point game, the correction ensures the official record matches what players and fans witnessed.
