The NBA is overhauling its in-house media platforms, rolling out a revamped NBA TV channel and NBA App on Wednesday that will operate as a round-the-clock streaming service.

What’s new: Sara Zuckert, the league executive in charge of the NBA App, described the update as a “connected, global hub” for all things basketball. The platform will combine live games, highlights, behind-the-scenes access, podcasts and creator content in one place.

Live action and international reach

The relaunch includes more than 60 NBA matchups this season, along with hundreds of additional contests from overseas leagues such as Australia’s NBL and Spain’s Liga ACB.

Original programming lineup

Several new series headline the schedule:

  • The Association – a nightly studio show hosted by MJ Acosta-Ruiz with analysts David Fizdale, Rudy Gay, Chris Haynes and John Wall.
  • Future Starts Now – coverage of top high-school prospects and tournaments.
  • Real Training Camp – behind-the-scenes looks at preseason preparations for the Mavericks, Nuggets, Pistons, Warriors and Lakers.
  • Loud City – a documentary chronicling the Thunder’s seven-game Finals victory over the Pacers, narrated by Jalen Williams.
  • Coaches Corner – one-on-one interviews with NBA head coaches conducted by Tim Legler.

Audio and creator content

The app will also stream podcasts such as Thinking Basketball, The NBA Front Office Show and The Athletic’s NBA Daily. Creator content from Bree Green, Jenna Bandy and shooting coach Chris “Lethal Shooter” Matthews is slated for regular rotation.

NBA TV game slate

The network retains its traditional live-game windows, highlighted by three December tripleheaders. The first takes place on Dec. 20 and features the Rockets vs. Nuggets, Hornets vs. Pistons and Lakers vs. Clippers.

With the overhaul, the league aims to centralize its digital offerings and give fans continuous access to basketball programming across devices.
