NBA mock trade routes Anthony Davis from Mavericks to Warriors, ships Jonathan Kuminga to Kings

A multiteam trade concept published by DallasHoopsJournal outlines a scenario in which the Golden State Warriors land center Anthony Davis, the Dallas Mavericks collect veteran pieces and draft capital, and the Sacramento Kings acquire forward Jonathan Kuminga.
Proposed terms
Dallas Mavericks receive: Draymond Green, Malik Monk, Al Horford, the Warriors’ 2027 first-round pick, and a top-10–protected 2028 first-round pick from the Kings.
Sacramento Kings receive: Jonathan Kuminga and Will Richard.
Golden State Warriors receive: Anthony Davis.
Why Dallas would consider it
The Mavericks, according to the proposal, would focus on flexibility around rookie standout Cooper Flagg after previously moving on from Luka Doncic. Green’s leadership, Monk’s scoring, and Horford’s expiring contract are viewed as short-term assets, while the two future first-round selections give Dallas additional rebuilding tools.
Potential upside for Sacramento
Sacramento, currently caught between contention and a full reset, would gamble on Kuminga’s upside. The 21-year-old’s minutes and touches have dipped in Golden State, and the Kings could offer a larger role and extended development window.
Golden State’s motivation
With Stephen Curry entrenched as the franchise cornerstone, the Warriors’ portion of the proposal centers on adding a high-end frontcourt partner. Pairing Curry with Davis would be expensive and risky because of Davis’s injury history, but the move is framed as one of the few remaining swings to keep Golden State in title conversations.
The trade is strictly theoretical and has not been reported as an active discussion among the three teams.
