Warriors

Golden State’s first matchup with Atlanta since the clubs completed a trade two months ago ended in a 126-110 defeat at State Farm Arena. None of the players moved in that deal made a significant impact: Jonathan Kuminga struggled in limited minutes, Buddy Hield appeared mostly during garbage time and Kristaps Porziņģis sat out. The Hawks were paced by Dyson Daniels, who poured in 28 points.

The Warriors controlled most of the opening half but unraveled coming out of intermission. A series of turnovers early in the third quarter quickly turned a close contest into a double-digit hole that Golden State never erased. Now 33-38, the Warriors have dropped 10 of their last 12 games and are five games under .500 for the first time in two seasons.

Celtics

Boston is easing Jayson Tatum back into form, according to the Boston Globe. Teammate Jaylen Brown said he is helping Tatum regain rhythm: “Sometimes things are not going your way or you miss some shots early, you need an easy one. I’ve been there.” The Celtics have leaned on their bench depth while Tatum works toward full effectiveness.

Nets

Eliminated from playoff contention, Brooklyn has turned its attention to the upcoming draft. As reported by the New York Post, Nets supporters closely tracked NCAA Tournament standouts AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer and Darryn Peterson. Dybantsa impressed observers with a 35-point showing in his lone appearance, prompting former NBA guard Jamal Mashburn to note, “He’s going to be special.”
