Oklahoma City, OK — Shai Gilgeous-Alexander piled up 34 points to steer the Oklahoma City Thunder past the San Antonio Spurs, 119-98, on Tuesday night, snapping a three-game season skid against their Western Conference rival.

Oklahoma City (34-7) earned its fourth straight victory and preserved the NBA’s best record at the midpoint despite missing starters Isaiah Hartenstein and Luguentz Dort. Jalen Williams contributed 20 points, while rookie Chet Holmgren had eight points, 10 rebounds and three blocks. The Spurs were limited to 40 percent shooting and will host the Thunder for the final regular-season matchup on Feb. 4.

Rockets 119, Bulls 113

Houston, TX — Kevin Durant recorded 28 points and Alperen Şengün supplied 23 points and 11 assists as the Rockets held off Chicago in a game that featured 35 lead changes. Houston trailed by one with a little more than three minutes left before closing on a 7-2 run highlighted by a Durant dunk and a timely three-pointer from Jabari Smith Jr.

Amen Thompson matched Şengün with 23 points, helping the Rockets halt a three-game slide.

Heat 127, Suns 121

Miami, FL — Bam Adebayo scored 29 points to pass Alonzo Mourning for second place on the Heat’s career scoring list, and Norman Powell added 27 as Miami survived squandering a 20-point cushion.

Powell drilled the go-ahead three with 48 seconds remaining, and Andrew Wiggins sealed it at the foul line after Dillon Brooks was whistled for a flagrant foul. Tyler Herro finished with 23 points as the Heat snapped their own three-game losing streak.
