Magic

Guard Jalen Suggs is expected back in the Orlando lineup Saturday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers after taking part in the morning shootaround, according to the Orlando Sentinel’s Jason Beede. Suggs missed the past eight games with a right knee MCL contusion and has appeared in 23 of the Magic’s 43 contests this season.

Orlando’s defense has consistently ranked higher when the 22-year-old is on the floor, and the club’s win-loss record has reflected that impact. His availability remains a key variable for a team still seeking week-to-week consistency.

Celtics

Winning has altered Boston’s approach to the Feb. 9 trade deadline. ESPN’s Shams Charania reports the Celtics intend to be aggressive over the next two weeks, prioritizing help in the frontcourt. Once viewed as a candidate to trim payroll, the team now appears ready to leverage contracts and draft assets to reinforce a roster that owns one of the league’s best records.

Timberwolves

The NBA postponed Saturday’s game between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Golden State Warriors in Minneapolis, moving it to Sunday night. The league cited community safety concerns after a fatal shooting involving federal agents. Minnesota and Golden State will now square off on back-to-back nights, Sunday and Monday, at Target Center.
