Sacramento, Calif. — The Sacramento Kings remain interested in Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga, according to ESPN’s Marc J. Spears. Sacramento pursued the 21-year-old during his restricted free agency last summer and, at the time, reportedly offered guard Malik Monk and a first-round pick. Spears now believes the draft pick is no longer on the table, though the organization continues to monitor Kuminga’s availability.

Haliburton Advances in Achilles Recovery

Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton released a 30-second video that showed him running, jumping and shooting as he works back from a torn Achilles tendon. While the two-time All-Star is out for the season, he will be visible on Amazon Prime Video’s NBA coverage as a “player contributor.” His first appearance is scheduled for Tuesday night, with more segments planned on the platform’s “NBA Nightcap.” Haliburton will also chronicle parts of his rehabilitation for the streaming service.

Indiana’s supporting cast has kept the club competitive in his absence. Pascal Siakam, Andrew Nembhard and Bennedict Mathurin combined for 76 points in Monday’s victory over the Kings, giving the Pacers four wins in their past six games. Head coach Rick Carlisle also praised Aaron Nesmith and T.J. McConnell for stabilizing the lineup.

Beasley Disputes Overseas Rumors

Free-agent guard Malik Beasley is not negotiating with Partizan Belgrade, his agent Brian Jungreis told Front Office Sports after a Serbian report claimed advanced talks. Beasley, 30, remains under investigation by the NBA and federal authorities for possible links to illegal betting, preventing him from signing with an NBA team.

Jungreis said clubs in Europe and China have expressed interest, but Beasley would only consider a contract containing an NBA opt-out clause. During a Twitch stream on Monday, Beasley added, “I’m not going to Serbia.”

If cleared, the veteran sharpshooter is expected to become a coveted target. Last season he hit 41 percent of his three-pointers, made 319 total threes and finished second in Sixth Man of the Year voting before a three-year, $42 million agreement with Detroit fell apart because of the investigation.
